COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocol

Our priority is the health and safety of our guests and staff. We ask that all guests review and comply with local and government guidelines, which can be found at Coronavirus (pio.gov.cy)

HEALTH & SAFETY FIRST

We are following the guidance of health and governmental authorities and have updated our best practices accordingly to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable experience. This includes comprehensive sanitation protocols, respectful distancing, and a variety of other precautionary measures. Please review the full list below.

SAFETY & WELLBEING

Guest are requested to wear masks at all times while in public areas of the hotel.

Thermal Cameras for temperature self-screening will be available in appropriate points at the Hotel.

Employees require temperature checks and a screening before entering the Hotel. The screening will include questions about current symptoms and recent exposure to COVID-19-infected individuals. Those who don’t pass will not be allowed to work on the Hotel.

Guests are asked to abide by similar self-screening protocols about current symptoms and recent exposure to COVID-19 prior to arriving and during their stay at Faros Hotel.

Hand sanitation stations will be available at the front desk, restrooms, guest rooms and all public spaces.

Public Area Attendant presence in the lobby daily frequently sanitizing all surface areas with approved disinfectants.

All employees and restaurant staff will be equipped with masks, gloves, trained on new procedures and take all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment for our guests.

GUEST ROOMS

All rooms will be disinfected using approved sanitizing solutions between occupancy with extra attention paid to high touch surfaces.

Hand sanitizer provided in all guest rooms & suites.

Housekeeping service, cleaning will be scheduled while you are out of your room.

Digital Menus for Room Service will be available in QR code to be scanned in smart phones & tablets.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

All employees will be required to wear face masks and gloves at all times.

All guests are required to wear face masks in public spaces.

Digital Menus for the Restaurant & Bars will be available in QR code to be scanned in smart phones & tablets.

 Room Service will be delivered outside the guest room doors for contactless delivery.

AMENITIES & SERVICES

Elevators will be limited to one guest, couple, or family at a time.

The pool is open for hotel guest use only. Seating will utilize respectful distancing, with seats set two (2) meters apart from one another.

MEETINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS

We look forward to welcoming groups, meetings, weddings and everything in between when it is safe to do so and in compliance with all local guidelines.

While we keep our distance we maintain an atmosphere of mutual respect. With this we ask everyone at the Faros Hotel to follow social distancing rules by keeping at least two (2) meters between each other in all public spaces of the Hotel.

COVID-19 WARNING

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for our guests and employees. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting our hotel.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, certain populations may be particularly vulnerable and high risk for contracting the virus that causes COVID-19.

By visiting our hotel, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

COVID-19 SUSPECTED CASE AMNAGEMENT PLAN

If a guest shows symptoms relating to COVID-19, the following procedure is followed:

  • The hotel’s health management team will contact the Medical Assistance and a doctor will visit the suspected case for evaluation. If necessary, a COVID-19 test will be performed. 
  • The guest will be asked to remain in their room with the door closed, until the lab results are returned.
  • Patients who show symptoms of respiratory infection, will receive a simple surgical mask and tissues immediately.
  • If  the patient has a companion who wishes to stay and take care of them, they will be given a simple surgical mask and be advised to wash their hands every time they come in contact with the patient.
  • Members of staff are advised to avoid entering the patient’s room unless absolutely necessary, in which case a member of staff will be selected to deal exclusively with the patient. Used protective equipment is discarded in a covered waste bin and is not reused.
  • After discarding the protective equipment, staff are required to wash their hands thoroughly. 
  • If the COVID-19 test returns positive, the case will be reported to the Ministry of Health who will then provide further instructions.

If an employee exhibits symptoms relating to COVID-19, the following procedure is followed:

  • The hotel’s health management team will contact Medical assistance and a doctor will visit the suspected case for evaluation. If necessary, a COVID-19 test will be performed. 
  • The member of staff will be asked to remain in a specific room with the door closed, until the lab results are returned.
  • Patients who show symptoms of respiratory infection (cough, sneezing, runny nose), will receive a simple surgical mask and tissues immediately.
  • All surfaces and equipment that have come into contact with a patient are thoroughly cleaned.
  • If the COVID-19 test returns positive, the case will be reported to the Ministry of Health who will then provide further instructions.
  • An investigation is then carried out to determine the possible exposure of other employees or guests, who will then be asked to follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health.
